Our History: Weaver’s Custom
Earthmoving, the predecessor to Weaver’s
Inc., was founded in March of 1983 by
Randy Weaver. We started as an
earthmoving company with one bulldozer.
Within a year, we went from being a one
man operation to two people (Randy and
his wife, Linda) and an occasional
part-time helper. We continued to grow,
mainly working in the farming sector.
In 1986, we did our first
design-build project for Enron Liquids
Pipeline. Soon this new market began to
flourish. By now we were also digging
house basements, doing site work, sewer
repairs, and small road building jobs
for the county, in addition to ponds,
terraces and waterways for the farm
sector.
In the late fall of 1992, an
acreage just outside Tipton, Iowa was
purchased which had enough land to build
our own shop. 22 years later, we are
still at that location and now employ an
average of 20 people. Although Weaver’s
is a relatively small construction
group, we have a core of 10 long term
employees, whose talents are used to
ensure the smooth functioning of daily
operations. Our company is like a small
close-knit community. Our employees know
that they are valued and appreciated and
we feel that this attitude contributes
to company loyalty and stability.
